Home Panhandle General Fishing & The Outdoors

The other "Guys Week" 8/28 -8/29 Key Colony Beach

After some minor boat repairs (replace the throttle cable) we got started on Monday by fishing for a 6 man limit of Mangroves with a few Lanes and 3 trout. We worked a few lobster spots to the west northeast of the 7 mile bridge and were a little disappointed with only 5 bugs, but at least we had a decent meal :grin

Tuesday we got a little earlier start and were rewarded with 25 nice Mangroves, 10 Lanes, and 10 nice trout. We moved on to a few spots a little further East this time and, although not stellar, did a bit better with 10 bugs. Seems most of the better spots nature chose to cover with a heavy mat of floating grass :grin

Good times!!

In one of the photos, it looks like one guy went old school fishing with a push button spincaster (like a Zebco). That's pretty cool.......brings back memories.

With all those lobster you're catching, what's been your favorite way to fix them?

Almost never a bad way :grin Boiled, grilled, fried, and maybe my favorite is Lobster Neuburg (Diced lobster in a cream sauce served over angel hair pasta)
