PE 7/29 MAHI KINGS ROSEFISH

We had a plan of pulling planers and then going
deep dropping.Put the planners in and head north
put 1 king in right away then another.About 20 minutes
later we have our 3rd king in the box.Then we get a call
from a friend 54 line huge patches with frigates everywhere
so we pick up and run get there alot of boats and we see 5
frigates.We ended up pulling to a log and weeds and start
chunking it was nonstop action.had to pick thru the shorts
and ended up with 9 mahi in the box.Went thru a 5 lb box
of squid boat was blood from bow to stern.I tell the crew
i am going to deep drop while they catch mahi as we were
in 820 ft. Ended up picking up 15 rosefish with some nice
fat ones.Current was not bad but could not feel the bite.
Headed back to reef and picked up 1 more king.

the fish just kept on biting.Just looked at Mahi
only 8 the 9th one was in the other fish box.:wink
