  Don't do it. The quality of those stainless hinges are of better quality than anything sold today.
  Remove the hinges and screws and nuts and soak then in Spotless Stainless and reinstall.I would bed with West Marines Polyether Multi Caulk. Easy to work with doesn't make a mess and wipes and cleans up easy.
  Spotless Stainless with bring them back along with all your other stainless hardware on the boat.

  Thanks, I will work on cleaning them up. Couple other questions. The boat has Tender towing rings on the sides, do you know how to make that bridle or where to buy one ? Has a Yammi F150 ,best prop ? Thanks
