Poking Around In The Grass Night and Day

Black ClouserBlack Clouser Posts: 92 Deckhand
Hey guys, My favorite time in NE FL is finally approaching. Had a few early season, descent flood tides to fish last week. Tied up a few BC Critter Flies and walked in(no Gheenoe) to some favorite close to home grass flats. Had about an hour or so to fish/hunt a late evening flood tide before the lights went out. Very windy conditions which didn't help much but still managed to see a few quick tails. On the way back I spotted this guy tailing hard in the thick stuff, second cast and he just crushed the new Critter Fly

Next outing we finished work early and I just had to see if the lower predicted high tide would flood the grass flats. Grabbed the still wet wading boots, my trusty 7wt and sling pack and off I went wading into some marginally flooded flats at the tail end of the tide:cool::
