anyone have a cordless lawnmower or know much about them , our push gas powered mower is about done and these look good but how are they if the grass gets long? we don't have a lot at grass area but what there is requires mowing
I would think in you case Frank they would be great! They make some awesome batteries now-a-days. I like the idea because of the quiet in nothing else.

Read the reviews to see how much run-time actual users are getting and then time how long it takes you to mow your yard. Make sure you have some leeway to compensate for those days you're moving slow, things get in your way and the eventual degradation of the battery. I also wouldn't get anything other than a lithium battery.
That being said I have several Ryobi tools that use the smaller 18v batteries and have no issues except the pole saw wears the battery quickly...but I'm also using the compact batteries...and it's a chainsaw. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of their higher voltage mowers like the 40v.

right now it's every three weeks, just to knock down the tall stuff, but that's sure to change within the next few moths
