Any difference between mid to early 2000s ACs and today's ACs?

Just wondering if there are any significant differences.

According to NADA the weights for the boats built in the early to mid 2000s are lighter than the specs advertised today.

Also I've seen a couple of early Kevlar boats that showed the Kevlar weave in the hatches like the Mavericks do and a later one that didn't.

Any one who's had both know?
