ANOTHER SLOW DAY PE 4-8

Headed out to a stiff north wind but only
2 to 3 ft seas.Put the spread out and both
planers get hit no hook up.Get down off
the pier fish on nice hit on planer get to
the boat a big cuda:banghead.Not long
another hit and 13 lb king in the box.Missed
1 more nice fish and head offshore.800 ft
alot of weed patches trolled them all the
way to the steeple with out a knockdown.
Head back to reef trolled back to port with
no more hits.Turned in to a nice day sun
came out seas 1 ft and alot of boats at
the Tortuga.

    I was 0/0. Yesterday afternoon. No wind. No current. Ouch. Friday, I did get a sail, but yesterday.... nada.. Spring fishing should be here soon!!!!

    I sure hope so finding all this weed and
    no fish.No bait in weed to hold fish.

    I did not go offshore. It's my spring break and Mother Nature has decided to keep it 20mph all week. You're going to get em soon.

    I'll confirm another slow day on Sunday also. Tried the reef (no current; one nassau grouper and one small mangrove), drifting (one undersize mutton), and the wrecks (zip). Current has either been zero or ripping lately.

    Yes its been a challenge a friend fished last Saturday night
    and current was ripping.No fish.

    I went out of haulover on Saturday. Much calmer than predicted, but no fish. No flying fish. Scattered weed, but didn't see any life.
