bass lure questions

is there a lure that works good to put under a float and get hits? I took GF out and was running out of shiner and it got me thinking. Maybe a wacky worm?

Whats a good lure for a newbie to use? Something simple that'll get hits and doesnt get hung up much?

You can try making just about any lure weedless. Any soft rubber fish like lure they sell in Wal Mart will catch fish. Color may depend on the time of day. Maybe a simple rubber worm rigged weedless too?

The problem with lures and newbies is... if you have to cast a lot, they lose interest. I cast a lot :-)

If you are wanting to fish something under a float, youtube a slip float or slip bobber. Basically fished like a shiner except you use plastics instead of live bait.

Any plastic/jig will work under a float. People use jigs under a float all the time for specks. Jig, let it sit a moment and repeat.
