Haven't been out in a month and had a few hours to get out so I took a solo trip. The ramp looked like a mid May Saturday. It was packed. Most looked like offshore trailers so if they're biting offshore I haven't seen many reports on here. I spent the first hour looking for reds in the spots we were catching a few in December and early January but not even a nibble. So moved out to at least get some trout with the couple of hours i had left. Caught some shorts then reeled in a couple 18"ers and a 19" all in a row. Then it was back to the dinks. I always use gulp soft baits when i use artificial but I tried out a Mirrolure (4" shad) today. I was really impressed with how they don't ride down the hook after every bite or catch. I caught 6 trout in a row without having to adjust it on the hook and fished 2 hours on 2 lures. Durable and less time adjusting/replacing them and they catch fish.
