Hands down the best season of my life. I drove just over 4k miles and shot 19 different species of waterfowl. I spent the last two days chasing a trophy Canvas Back and was able to pull it off. Nothing but smiles looking back on this season. Time to get some sleep and then pull my fishing gear back out.

Its so hard to explain why I put so much time and effort into it to friends and family. They dont realize how much fun it is to travel and camp with friends all over the state and explore beautiful lakes, rivers, the gulf, ect...

I must state that I have hunted ducks in the past. As a child I walked the edges of rivers and streams jump shooting ducks, woodcock, and grouse in the process. Also knocked down a squirrel or two. As population increased, the opportunity to walk these areas diminished. I have a couple of friends that thought sitting over decoys was the cats meow. I sat with one from Nebraska and shot one duck, sat with another who had his masters in wildlife biology and saw two ducks that could have been confused with a satellite in orbit.
I am not sure what is different in your area but your results are outstanding. Don't get me wrong, even though we did not have great harvesting numbers, we had a great time. Again kudos for your successful season!
We shot some out of the ICW and some on a private rice farm near the airport in Jax.
