Jupiter 1/21/17 - Slow day

Lines in at 7am, Wanted to get tight on a wahoo, high speed down to Palm Beach and back with not one bite. Got back to Jupiter around 8. Put out regular spread, ballys, sea witches, poppers, divers, etc. Trolled all around north and south out to 400 with not one bite, worked hard too. There was a nice rip with clean water in about 250, looked fishy. No luck there either. I don't have kite setups, that may have been the trick. Hope someone else had better luck than us. There's always next trip

We had a simIlar day on Sat as we did not get anything on the troll and the radio's were quite. Did some bump trolling and picked up king and Cuda's. Got some nice bottom fish however that was tough too with the 3-4knot current.

Make that 3 of us! Did the same thing...trolled all the way out 600' with many good looking rips with no signs of life. The only life we saw was in close NE of the inlet about 100' with bait busting and something on the chase but it was too crowded for us to safely go in and troll the area. As you said, many kites/ballons in that range but we just didn't want to fish were everybody else was. Hopefully things improve quickly! Thanks for the JUP report.
