Jupiter Inlet to SLI 1/20

Went out Jupiter Inlet early and went straight to 150 feet, where the rest of the fleet was. Saw 4 sails hooked up in 30 minutes, all by kite fisherman, so I'm guessing goggle eyes, which I'm too cheap to pay $80/dozen for. We had skirted ballyhoo and had no luck with sails. Then the southeast winds kicked in and everything shut down.

My Plan B is always head easy, so that's what we did. Got to 240 feet and saw a splash on a tiny weed clump. Before I could get to the pitch rod, both trolling rods bent and went off. Pulled twin mahi off the clump. The seas got a lite sporty so we headed in. We had gone so far north, it was closer to go in the SLI so we did. Spun a hub at Hole in the Wall and had a restful 2.5 hour trip down the ditch, top speed - 5 mph.
