Fished the Pole & Troll area of Mosquito Lagoon over my Christmas vacation. The weather was nice the day before the front was scheduled to come through and I guess everyone else had the same idea, I've never seen the ramp that crowded. Once on my favorite flat I counted 3 flats boats, 3 kayaks and a paddle board all sharing the area. There was plenty of room and I saw several other people catching fish. What I didn't like was seeing the one guy fishing with his son in a flats boat use his outboard to leave when he was done. It took him 3 tries to jump on on plane but he left that area running wide open. Of course it was probably necessary to get across all that skinny water. Not only was it illegal, it sets a bad example for the next generation of fisherman.
