What should I be fishing for?

whats cruising around this time of year to early January? I'm gonna be staying in Fort Myers from Jan 6th-11th and I will be doing a lot of fishing from the tidal caloosahatchee as I'm staying waterfront near the Cape Coral bridge. Also I'll head to bokeelia or Naples (other places I've done well at in the past, but different times of year) if I can get some insight as to what's around? Any info helps thanks.

Snook, redfish, trout, flounder, mackerel... pretty much everything. If we have a good warm front you might even be able to find a tarpon or two.
Tarpon... everything else is just bait.

Sheepshead head and snapper will be where you are. Use shrimp.

Ladyfish and Bluefish have been all over. Matlacha bridge and pier have had a good Snapper bite. The causeway has been holding both Mangrove and Lane Snapper. The Whiting and Sugar Trout should be up the area rivers in deeper pockets as well.
