Launched Saturday Dec 3 @ Caxambas Pass. Water temp 70.5f and decent clarity. Wind was blowing out of the NNE @ 20+ and tide was smoking out. Wanted to go to my trout island and knew I had 2 places where there might have been 14"-18" water. Oh well, no guts, no glory. Made I through the first "thin water" and the second.....well, let's say the Yammy's skeg got a VERY good cleaning! And this is fully trimmed and blowing a 30 foot rooster tail. At least 50 yards of big motor bumping the sand. Got 2 feet + of water, trimmed down and made it to the island. After 20 minutes, I decided to head back due to the water continuing to fall. Again, full throttle, full trim, skeg cleaning time. Made it back.
Fished a boat channel with 6-10 foot of depth. Managed, wait for this part................:
1 Sheepshead
2 small jacks
1 Sailcat
1 Hard head cat.
Yup, Mr. "expert" fisherman had a stinky day @ the Pass.
But, it was good to get out and now I am even more familiar with my boat/engine capability.
Taking this weekend off. Big front coming in so a little luck there.
Possibly out on Dec 17th and the next 2 weekends are spoken for.
Sorry for the "absence of fish" report.
North wind, outgoing tide = Not much.
Be good out there!

Far Backcountry with mud flats drying out , every fish in the bay 50 ft away...pays to draw 4 inches draft and a pushpole and machete.
See you guys outfront in Summer...
