What (if any) is the statute of limitations for fisheries violations? Federal and State?

Just wondering.

Most fisheries violations are second degree midemeanors, which means they must occur in the officer's presence in order to make an arrest (usually a notice to appear) and the arrest must be made immediately. It is POSSIBLE in some situations to direct file a case with the state attorney's, but this doesn't occur frequently. I believe the statute of limitations on direct filing a misdemeanor is one year.
