Have not found ONE in the past few weeks in my typical shallow spots off palm beach... spots that produced almost every time last year. Anyone else having a tough time?
Simple answer is yes off of northern Broward. Had a great mini season and opening day and from then on it has been slim pickings but I usually stay in one atmosphere and haven't checked deeper waters.

I'll echo the post above. Early in the season, I saw boats come into the ramps with several. Lately, I have seen none & I have seen no bodies in the water by the cleaning tables.
The beginning of regular season in the Keys was pretty bad, we got enough for dinner but the complaining around us was so bad it was like people forgot that they were still on vacation in the Keys. The amount of commercial traps around Islamorada was insane, so it was a wonder that any made it out from the back country.
I've seen fewer than I'd like, but finding monsters when I do get them. I was actually thinking about heading further south to check some spots but now I'm reconsidering....
I had a hard time during mini season finding any lobsters. Normally I have to pick through the shorts but that wasn't the problem this year.
2 years ago I found a few spots filled with dead "in tact" lobsters. It looked like a virus wiped them out - all of them dead in there hiding spots. I hope they recover quickly.

Mainly after cold fronts, especially if there's a big ground swell for a couple of days.
