Home Fly Fishing

Last friday

Been awhile since I drop by here. Still here in Jupiter, still poking holes in fish lips....
Double header on Friday...Morning bite on Skip Jack tuna was good. Landed some small ones, but dropped the big guys,(studs in the 12 lb. + range) and above average Rainbow runners...

Afternoon trip was even more interesting. Ran out to look for more tuna, found this thing:

WWll landmine??? Whatever...was holding dolphin...released five or six smaller ones

finished up dropping sinking lines on a couple wrecks and getting normal cast of characters,(ie; blue and rainbow runners, bar jacks) but also came up with this pretty little African Pompano...

Tight lines,
Capt. Scott

Great report. Those are some beauties. I haven't tried fly fishing offshore, I bet that is a blast.

You ever catch Kings on fly?

JaredD You should try offshore fly fishing...it is a blast. Stronger, faster, more aggressive fish. And yes, catch Kings regularly. Easy fish...just need a fast sinking line to get the fly down to them.

I still have a pic of a ten pound skipjack I caught with you blown up in fly tying room. That was the same day I learned how good fresh tuna really was, still using your recipe! Love the pic of the African pomp.
