What does Matanzas Inlet look like?
Sure hate to see a whaler incarcerated like that. Looked like they thought it might get away. ;-]

The inlet has been steadily moving S. Half a mile in the 500 years since Ft. Matanzas was built - originally facing the inlet. In the 40 years we've fished the N side - we've seen at least 7 or 8 bridge spans fill in.
The inlet itself looks deep and swift to me. Would like to take a ride up there soon. Not familiar with the S side at all, tho shallow, looks like there might be access for surf fishing. We've had to give it up because of the long walk on the N side.
