Anna Maria Island Advice

I'll be traveling over with the family and friends from the Palm Coast area this weekend into early next week. I've fished the beaches before at sunrise and sunset and caught some smallish snook using mirrolures, etc. Would you guys recommend more of the same or try to get into the backcountry, I do have access to a couple of kayaks, boats are out of commission unfortunately due to damage from Matthew. Not asking for secret spots just trying to get steered in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any responses.

That's what I was just reading, great luck on my end. Is it bad enough that we should keep the kids out of the water?

We spent 3weeks there in Aug. Had a kayak and went out in bikini bay most mornings with live shrimp under a popping float and caught trout catfish snapper redfish and black drum, great fun. Piers also popular also. Will post full report when I get a minute! Good luck and enjoy, fab place.
