Lots of bait loaded in the inlet and on some flats around Fort Pierce. Fish were most active around the inlet where water temperatures were cooler. In the river the water temps were around 87 to 88 degrees which gave very lazy bites/takes. Lots of jacks, ladyfish and a few snook around. Saw a few tarpon and some shark but not much action to be had. It was just a start and with a cold front and water temp drop the bite will really turn on.
Caught some reds and jacks early in the backcountry and had a few snook eat on light leader but they came unglued.
