Black sea bass?

Is there a chance of catching some black sea bass in the Panama City area?

Yes- but hard to target keepers, esp. in the hotter months... lot better BSB fishery east of here...
There should be NO Commercial Fishing for any fish species considered 'Over-fished' , 'Undergoing Overfishing' or Subject to Recreational Seasons, Limits, or Closures... Game Fish Status IS the Answer !!!

Yeah, they a little easier in winter.

    Fine tasty fish!

Not sure how I'd target them this time of year.

As previously stated, very tasty, but more prevalent to the East (Carrabelle area & Keyton Beach etc.)

    Thanks much.

I visited Alligator Point once but never caught one. That was 15 or so years ago.

Normally I fish SC and NC beaches were you can catch them from the piers and jetties.
