Well, after a disappointing mini season of small lobster and my gps going out I made my way to repair my unit yesterday. After replacing a fuse and cleaning the connecters it was about 3:00pm and my kids wanted to head out for an afternoon troll. So we fueled up at crandon and hit the ocean with great conditions and made our way to about 400ft. Now everyone and everything lately said to hit up around the 1000ft mark but we saw a great weedline and a bunch of floating branches and a small tree. After trolling along, our short line gets slammed then nothing(bally with blue/silver/white skirt) then hit again and off, and one more hit but nada. I leave it out and we putt along another minute then our long gets the same hit but this time it stays on and we begin seeing the beautiful ariel display of the mahi! My daughter reeled it in like a pro and at boatside I see one other fish swimming with the bull. So she points it out, then daddy got hooked up on a cut bait with a really nice cow. We make quick work, gaffed them both and into the rtic cooler they went. Still trolled the big weedline but nothing, so we called it by 5:30 and went back in, so proud of her!

I do not know why the pic is upside down, im trying to fix it but to no avail.
