Chokoloskee Snookin 7/16/16

Went to Choko with my Son and his friend looking to bend the rods with some Snook and Redfish. We head out Early Sat morning in search of some live bait which was a little challenge but we were able to fill the well with finger mullet. We are off to spot number #1 and it was tough. We fished artificial, and live bait with not much success. My son did catch a small snook on his trusty DOA Shrimp. Moved on to spot#2 and had the same results SLOW SLOW SLOW. By this time is was around 1pm and I went to a spot where we always catch a bunch on trout on the last hour of the tide and man that was a great decision. First bait that hit the water was a 36inch snook. Second bait produced a 34inch snook. Then we caught a large Triple tail for the box and 5 more snook. All and all the day finished great but it was slow most of the day. Here are a few Pics
