While I'm at work I'm getting pics like this....

The guy holding the fish has hands big enough to hold a basketball like I could a volleyball. Found them staging to bed yesterday. I'm going after work :grin

    Nice, my favorites.
I am glad to only be a bird hunter with bird dogs...being a shooter or dog handler or whatever other niche exists to separate appears to generate far too much about which to worry.

Nice!! We fished the Micc a couple weeks & did pretty well, but you could tell they hadn't bedded yet.

We could only fish just over an hour because of a nasty thunderstorm but we got 24. The crock is a size 11.

nice fish for sure. i went yesterday hoping to find some crackers on the nest. not much luck but managed about 30 smaller ones. they should be bedding here around the full moon this weekend but i havent found a bed one yet. i think this colder weather here have turned them off for a while

I think what you are seeing is called a Flyer.

cool, looks like a largemouth to me. i'll look up what a flyer is, thanks Dew.

whats yalls bait of choice for crakers/gills down there? Up here, my brother likes wax worms on his squirrel tail jigs he makes. i prefer shrimp pieces on a popeye. i think we're pretty equal catchin though.

Edit: i see what your talking about now Dewy, kinda in between a bream and crappie. neat looking fish, do they have the same habits of a bream?

No flyers that I'm aware of, I'm down here in Alachua county. Just copperheads, shellcrackers, and a bass. Been catching them on crickets on a ultralight setup. I have a 30 acre pond on my lease that's loaded. Tons of fun. It was slow yesterday evening after the front, but I'm sure they're back at it again.

That fish that is one space off to the left from dead center of the board is a flyer.
