Offshore Ponce 5.19.16
Haven't posted on this site for ages, but just wanted all to know that though I heard over the radio on Thursday, "Mahi season is officially over" it wasn't for us. We found a decent rip in 450' with decent weed and ended up catching 10. Several times we had to drop back five or six times to hook up, but every time we finally got the 30+ lbers next to the boat, they had big friends tagging along. As usual go to colors were pink/white and blue/white.

last time we were out of p.c. straight east ran over the city service and kept going. went 35ish miles to get into 450. imagine its even further up there. interesting question though?
As usual.. you have to find the fish to catch the fish..
That's why everyone scores during the runs.. Cause they are everywhere.
If chomp is over the steeples he isn't really "blind trolling" -- those currents hitting the underwater structure push bait up, create eddies, and mess with the temp a lot of times...
There are plenty of people that troll over sand in 130-160 all day long with nothing to show for it.
