  They will usually announce it at the Captains Party Friday night. To be on the safe side we rent an overnight slip at one of the marina's. Saves you a ton of time and headache in the morning. Best $50 you will spend.

  BMAN I rent from Cape Marina. Do it every year. Seas are looking iffy for Saturday. Keep your eye on the reports. They could end up canceling the tournament. Wouldn't be the first time.

  4-6 Friday, supposedly dropping to 3-4 Saturday, with a 15K NNW wind. They will probably have the tournament but mines staying on the trailer unless those winds drop. Got beat up enough last weekend in the NOAA's 2-3 Ft forecast........

  I agree... went out on Sunday from SI and that 2-3 ft seemed like 6-7 ft, Wife was not a happy camper.

  Maybe i'll pop by one of the bars around weigh ins. We'll be out there but not with the boat. I imagine a line forming at the ramp around 3am going until Saturday night around midnight.

  I didnt even bother with the capt party. Was blowing at 530 when i got off work, calm early this morning and blowin again now. Someones gettung their **** beat offshore, but it aint me.

  Also decided not to get beat up today. Looking at the wind was definitely the right call. Hope every one had a safe day that roughed it out. Headed out to check out the weigh in soon.

  Easy in and out at ramp, we had no wait. Yep, was nice and rough especially in that disorganized stream. At 330 PM we weighed our fish and missed 3rd by 1lb. Looks like someone came in with a 29 after that. We were 40 out at one point and started working it back after taking a couple over the bow in my 24 cape horn. It was a long ride back in. Good times ha ha

  Yes it was rough out there we went out in my 20 foot cc we had a few knock downs but got nothing to the boat which is not my normal day out there.I kept hearing about other boats needing help and one that was taking on water and sea tow has having a hard time finding them but the last I heard about it they got the water under control on their own.We went out to 220ft and then started back in.It was not to bad going out just coming back in the winds never turned or calmed down like they said they would,way to go weather man.but we got back to the dock safe and under our own power with every one on board that went out with us which to me is a good day.

  It was brutal out there. Not a bad ride out. We headed out at 5am and averaged about 20-25 knots in my 20 foot ProLine CC. Made it to the stream in about 260' and 3-4 foot seas suddenly looked and felt like 4-6 foot. We pointed back toward shore. Had trouble getting lines out. Headed back in to 150' and took a few over the bow on the way. Trolled 150' all the way to 100'. Had one short strike. Heard a few guys boating some fish but it seemed like everyone was struggling for the most part. I wanna know where the winning dolphin of 61 pounds was caught. That's a beast.
