Renting a boat for the day in Marco Island

Heading down to Marco Island for the weekend of April 29th to May 1st im going to be renting a 21 foot center console for a day and just wanted to know whats biting this time of year, what bait to use and where to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are you looking to do? North or South side of Marco? What's your experience navigating in the 10K? Answering those will go a long ways to helping people help you.
Spring marks the switch from shrimp to whitebait. You'll catch fish on both but whitebait is far preferred this time of year. Search the forum here and you will find a lot of threads on bait. It's the usual suspects - beaches, bridges etc......
