Grouper and snapper

Went out of caxambas and ran about 25 miles SW to my first grouper spot. With 3 people on the boat we got 5 grouper pretty quick. All grouper were caught on vertical jigs. We tried a few different spots to get the last grouper with no luck. We headed to a snapper spot and started chumming the bite was slow but steady. We had a mix of muttons, mangroves, and yellowtails. After a couple of hours with a well established chum slick Doc1 started really getting into the YT's with a 1/8oz jig head and a chunk of sardine. Average was 16-17" with a couple over 20". We also landed 1 kingfish and had several cut offs. I lost a big one that was 40"+ that took me around a crab pot it picked up my 12lb test snapper rig. Also had a couple cobia come up to the boat that wouldn't eat anything. We ended up with 5 red grouper, 4 muttons, 5 mangroves, and 21 yellowtails.
