Hello ladies and gents,
Im gonna be down in Miami in mid may and my hopes are to hire a guide to chase some tarpon and or goliath grouper. Lemay seems to be the forum favorite for tarpon, how about a grouper guide? The other days im there i wanna chase some peacock bass. Can anyone point me in the right direction as fishing for peacock bass on foot or do i just find the nearest body of water and start chunking lures? Or can i tag along with anyone?
What else should attempt out there in Miami? Any must visit destinations? restaurants? fish/wildlife experiences I need to try while there?
Thanks in advance.

Try and not get shot or robbed....
Go to " Calle de Ocho " and get some Cuban food.
Many things to do.
Knots to be unraveled
'fore the darkness falls on you
any particular type of lures to use? not sure what the difference is in texas fishing vs florida fishing.
Currently I'm in a rut with the Zoom Toad, but I also like the Zoom Super Fluke, Senkos and sometimes a small Spinnerbait. If I'm targeting Peas I'll use the little Fluke Junior in bright colors or the equivalent from other suppliers. When you get into the peas you're going to be working the baits a lot faster than what a Bass fisherman would normally be comfortable with.
I dig the topwater bite and I catch a lot of my fish in dense well structured conditions. Think in terms of Lilly pads, all kinds of grass, down tree limbs, moss and any kind of debris. Weedless is very important.
I spend a lot of my time walking along the bank with the wind at my back. I'll be casting down the canal on the side I'm standing on. Be prepared for some spectacular explosions.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
