Jennifer street paints in Jupiter this weekend

WaterEngineerWaterEngineer Posts: 24,412 AG
I have gotten several PM's and emails asking about Jennifer's Florida schedule.

She just returned from Branson, MO where she was for a five weeks as an "Artist in Residence", which is a pretty big deal for an artist.

(She did nine pieces in 30 days - I am working on that video now. You might call that power chalking.)

Jennifer is in FL the next two weekends.

This coming weekend in the Abacoa section of Jupiter for the Feast of Little Italy, November 4-6.

The following weekend she is at Downtown Disney, where she won first place last year.

Her promo for this weekend. All the art shown was completed with in the last year.

Hope to see a bunch of you at the Abacoa Town Center, in Jupiter this weekend.

Enjoy.

Is the Disney thing in the park itself?

No Sarasota this year? Jupiter is a better show?

    Jupiter pays. Money talks.

Sarasota artists go uncompensated, with the exception of four or five.

If you are on the west coast go to Sarasota though - it will be a crazy show - bigger than ever.

Jennifer will be the only street painter at Jupiter.

No. It is called the "festival of masters". it is at Downtown Disney, and it is free.

The artist are required to be on the pavement from Friday through about 2 o'clock on Sunday.

    Awards announced at 3-ish.

I'm in Sarasota now and we've already planned on going this weekend. Went last year; Jennifer did the wicked witch, right? Good stuff.

Yes, Wicked Witch. The 3D crews will be there again. And several outstanding artists from Italy.

PM me an email address and I will send you some names to ask for when you get there - to make sure you don't miss their stuff.

Also, I want to point out the 3D stuff is not chalk - but paint. Not that one is better or worse - just different - but it is not what Jennifer does - her work is 100 percent chalk even when she does 3D.

Will she do a Off Topic themed painting? That would be cool.

    Thanks.

Is there a big risk on doing chalk vs. paint if it rains? BTW, it's wet now and I think they block the street today for the artists to get started.

    You have mail!

Yes, I heard they washed the street one last time.

Yes, the huge 3D stuff will be started tomorrow so it is ready for the weekend.

As for rain: a) for paint = bad, b) for chalk = worse.
