Banana River NMZ - First Timer

Good everning FS,
I plan to fish the NMZ thursday, and I had a question. For the frequent visitors of this body of water...which shoreline would you explore if you had to pick one (after all your experiences fishing there)? I think ive read almost every post and/or article I could find online, but its only left me with the thought of flipping a coin. Forecast calls for east winds at 7-9 later in the day after a N-NE shift in the morning. I plan to put in shortly after sunrise, but will fish till till the cows come home. Any and all input is greatly appreciated!

I'm no expert in that body of water but I'll tell you what I know: make your decision on where to fish there based on what you see when you get there.
If there's bait moving around in an area, that's where to fish. If you see nothing, I can guarantee nothing is there.
And be prepped to paddle - you'll be moving a lot.

i've been skunked there and I've had some of my best fishing days there. It's just that kind of spot.

Keep an eye out for Monster Gators. West bank near Kars park has been productive in the past. Find wind protection , bait and decent water clarity and you will find fish.

Bring some dead stinky baits for black drum. Shrimp works good. This year there's been a ton of them on the flats.

Thank you guys so much for the great advice! looks like the wind will be blowing a lil too much for that open water, so I have decided to hit some backwaters instead. thanks again!
