1 Peter 5: All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”a
6Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Comment by Bud A: This is God's message to all of his children for all time. We will all suffer for a "little while."
Unfortunately, relatively short periods of suffering have a way of seeming to last forever, but unto those who have cast their care upon Christ, such a time of great hardship is an opportunity to live out the Faith in Christ, given by God Himself.
Easy and pleasant, no way, but compared to the Glory that Awaits in the Kingdom of God, a heartbeat away, infinite times over worth the suffering, and really not even comparable.
"But the God of all Grace who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered awhile, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To Him be Glory and Dominion forever and ever." 1 Peter 5: 10-11 KJV
