  Over the years I have seen boats rafted up south of the Ten Cent Bridge in the St. Lucie River (Hells Gate). I think anywhere north of Sandssprit Park on the West side of the channel would also be a good location. Today the jets were flying to the north and south, I live on the north side of the St. Lucie between the Ten Cent Bridge and the Roosevelt Bridge. One of the radio stations broadcasts live the events so you can hear what is going on, not sure the station.

  Heading out now to fish the power plant then meeting and tying up to friends to watch the show. Best spot is NW of Hells Gate. The crowd is what makes it fun. It's hanging out, not fishing..

  I've done it a few times and it's pretty good.. Not as good as being on the flight line of course, but not bad either...
  
  I've annotated a map to show where I've anchored up on the past...
  
  We are wrestling with fishing vs. going to the show on the boat Sunday...
