  No, I am not sure what they are. Are they the people that call and ask you to take a survey asking what channels you listen to on the radio or watch on TV?

  I don't answer the phone if I don't recognize the number or person. Haven't had a solicitor call in 5+ years. People are too curious who is trying to call them.

  I usually don't either...if it's out of town and they don't leave a message, it's a sale call...but the other day, my curiosity got the best of my when the number showed the location was the Maldives! I had to answer. His name was Harry. We both figured he had the wrong number after 30 seconds of saying' "who? who? who?" After that call we all started singing, "Who's on the telephone? Harry from the Maldives, oh yeah" so sometimes it pays to pick up.:grin

  First thing if they are showing up on your caller ID as "Neilsen" you are dealing with a scammer. Nielsen Media Research is how they would show up (note the spelling). They are a large employer in S/W Florida and don't ever call people "day and night". They won't ask you for a credit card number either:wink
