#1,000 for 2015

My wife (with her new custom rod) and I went out Saturday morning knowing that we had caught and recorded 997 Bass for 2015 and the bite had been kinda slow and kinda small. What a day we had. Steph came out of the gate on fire with two right off the bat but very small and then we stalled for about 20 minutes or so with nothing moving. I had one rod tied with my favorite topwater lure (Sebile Slim Stick) so I sent it in the direction of the Bass condominium complex sitting out on the point and BAMM, I got one to come out and play....#1,000 is on the line.

THe day was not over by a long shot. We kept catching them at a steady pace until about 0920. When we finished, we had 10 Bass each and Steph came away with the big girl. To my surprise we ended up with five fish over 4#'s.
