PC-Offshore 9/19

Head out of port about sun up in search of the pelagics, head south east with intent to get over some structure or find rips or weeds. Found a strong rip in about 180 and dropped in the high speed gear. With no action we switch up and put out a spread of skirted and naked ballyhoo. Picked up one small peanut, and worked the area a while longer with nothing. Head deeper out to 220-240, short line gets hit so hard the hook is ripped from leader, no one on the boat had seen that one so we assume freight training wahoo. With little sign of life we head in shallower and pick up two small fins, and a cuda. Spot a pallet size piece of foam easing up we see triple tales and pickup one short. A few minutes later still focused on the larger Trip a lit-up zebra swims right under the boat..with spinning rods and squid in hand we offer but he is gone.

Tough day but everyone went home with enough for dinner.
