I am heading down to Ft. Desoto at first light on Sunday August 30th and plan to fish all day.
I am driving down there and won't have a boat. I am planning on taking a 3500 battle combo and 4500 Spinfisher combo to walk around with. Plan on pitching whitebait/pinfish/shrimp and berkley gulp jerkshad and gulp shrimp.
Any spots, tips or pointers you all could provide me would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone will be down there and wants to meet up let me know.
Here is a link to my facebook to prove that I am not a ****.

If you go to that same first dead end and then keep making right turns till get past the north beach area and to a picnic area, then wade by going to the right and following the shoreline around 2 corners till all the way to inside, then you can work the mangrove overhangs for reds & snook and the potholes for trout. Very shallow on that first edge but watch out in there, some of those potholes are over 6' deep and on a rising tide, you can get stuck without a way to walk out again. Which is what makes for nice trout hanging out in there. Good luck!
