Hoping to make first trip to the Tortugas from West Central Florida soon. Any opinions on the best time of year to go? In talking to few people, Apr - May seems to be the best, wondering if Oct - Nov are good also? Planning on spending a couple nights out there.
Thanks for any help.

Are you running a boat down or booking a trip from Key West?
Oct-Nov and April-May can be windy.
What kind of boat would you run?

Best bites are usually in Nov/Dec. Plenty of muttons/tails and red grouper.
