Key West or Aquasport, help me decide.

I have a decision to make here very soon. I have a 1992 Key West Sportsman 1900. The transom is getting weak on it.
I also have a project boat in the yard which is a 1978 Aquasport 196. My motor will switch over nicely.
The Key West gets used every other weekend and just needs a transom.
The AS needs everything. Paint top to bottom, tank installed, electronics swap from the keywest, Pretty much everything will come off of the key west and go on it. The AS has a new floor and new transom with raw fiberglass.

Does the AS ride better than a KW?
Is it worth the swap?

Thanks

I don't think the AS will ride near as well. While they are great for shallow water fishing (less dead rise than the KW) they are wet and pound in a chop. A whole lot less work and expense replacing the transom than starting from scratch on the AS. If your handy at all replacing the transom is not that expensive.

I don't know anything about the boats but to repair your transom look here... https://www.transomrepair.net/

Honestly sounds like less work to fix the key west so I would do that, however nothing wrong with the AS.
