A man was injured Tuesday afternoon when he fell off his jet ski on the Homosassa River.

The man was in an area known as Hell’s Gate when he fell off and hurt his back, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

FWC officers were able to get the man to a boat ramp at the end of South Cherokee Way near MacRae’s of Homosassa. Nature Coast EMS then transported him to Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville.
