What sayeth the Hive on least problematic Timer, Spinner, Motor- combo..?
After many years dealing with issues with the more common 6V ones... better options ?
Not looking forward to $2K for 4 feeders from Companys like Boss Buck..?
I know. Pay once, Cry once.

Which one. The newer Magnum ? We had Moultrie.. Meh. OK, but battery issues, timers.
I was thinking to just get 30gal Tree Hangers ready to roll from Moultire and live with it until the guts start to fail and then start replacing with better motors, Timers. We only seem to get about 3 years max before things get problematic. Thanks
I guess I should have asked if anyone gets more than a couple years out of Motors, Timers, ?
I don't use them anymore but when I did I chose this one. After some trial and error it occurred to me to use the cheapest, simplest model they had, because there was less to fail.
I customized them to run silent, waterproofed and rigged them all to run off of 6vdc gel cells. I built a charging circuit and found it was way more effective than lantern batteries.
I used these for probably ten years or more and still have some of them.
Using feeders can be very effective for hogs, but I found that the large boars required a different strategy. At least where I hunted, this was the case.
I haven't hunted over a feeder in a long time. I enjoy the sport more because of it.

Now that we have bears I have gone to the 30 gl moultries and hang them high. With solar panels. I strongly suggest solar panels knowing the batteries never die is piece of mind.
