Steinhatchee report 4/17- 18

From most accounts at the marina and around town the fishing was fairly tough last weekend... We didn't manage many at all on the flats. Did some scouting and found a school of mullet around noon on Friday that were nearshore and boom it was on like donkey kong for two hours with the Reds and Huge Trout.... repeated the same Saturday. Most caught on Mirrolures, Live Target, and Rapala / Cordell Twitch Baits. All in all one of the best trips I've ever had in April.

Some stud trout in there. I need to get out to the Hatch soon.

Excellent ! The 'hatch can bring it when it's right. I've enjoyed some great days up there.

    Thanks for the report.

It'll be heating up as we get into May. That's my favorite month to fish the hatch. Nice fish!

When the Trout are as big as the Reds, you know you got some quality fish...
If it don't fit force it. If it breaks it needed replace anyways. :banghead
