1996 Action craft 1890

braces43braces43 Posts: 29 Greenhorn
Did Action Craft change the design of the 1890 hull after 1996 (i.e. is the 1996 hull the same as the ones they built in the 2000s)? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The qui-dry hull started in 1998

Is there much of a difference in the overall ride/performance between the pre-qui dry hulls and the qui dry hulls?

Yes there is. Qui dry reduces spray over the rail and hull slap if you are trying to be quiet in skinny water. I have a 98 1890SE non-qui dry hull and love it. Can get a little wet and the hull slap is a bit loud at times but hey it's a flats boat! Some say that the late 90's hulls are the best ones. They are back in biz and chad the owner is a good dude. Hit him up if you have questions or need work done.
