Kayak fishing - Honest John Fish Camp

Looking for new places to take my kayak and do some fishing and ran into
the Indian River Preserve Park and Honest John Fish Camp.
Seems like a nice place to go for a weekend.
Any good or bad experiences?
Thanks!!

If you go to pelican reserve, south of the inlet about 2 miles, you can find a great kayak spot behind in the area around the viewing platform. If you are willing to drive Pineda causeway, the west side of the Banana river on the north side of the causeway, is another good area for kayaking.

    That's about all I got!

I had a great experience at Honest Johns during the fall mullet run. We were in a canoe with an electric trolling motor. Snook, sheepies, tripletail, trout, ladyfish, and other fish made for some fun fishing.
