  Yes, there were more than a few split windows converted by folks. I can see why folks might have thought it was a good plan back then.

  I'd do that! The car's VIN number and original registration, etc would show that it's a split window so restoring it back to that would increase its value.

  I drove one of those one long ago weekend. Put about a thousand miles on it. I thought it drove like a POS.

  He totaled it about three years after he bought it. As many car shows and auctions as I've watched, I have never heard it mentioned or seen a '63 with a conversion to a single window.
