Got my first shark from the surf today

    Very nice shark and video. Did you originally hook it there on the inlet or around the point into the Gulf? Did you cast out your bait or kayak or balloon it out?

    Great video!

    On a Memorial Day some years ago, had a similar experience with a smaller shark on the beach at the end of Bridge Road on Jupiter Island. Took me about an hour to finally bring in and I was totally exhausted.

    Thank goodness for some fellow younger fishermen from Riviera Beach who helped beach it and happily accepted since they were fishing for food.

    I hooked it right at the corner where the inlet meets the pass. The bait was casted out and funny it was my shortest cast of the morning. That shark wasn't more than 40 yards off the beach.
