Home General Freshwater Fishing

Hi all - looking for bass

Hi all - my wife and I will be coming over to Florida from England in March and I am looking to try and do some fishing, along with saltwater fishing I would really like to catch some bass as we don't have them over in England.

Potentially silly questions:

When I have a Florida state fishing license, can I fish pretty much anywhere as long as signs don't indicate otherwise? (In England there is almost no public "free" fishing and all fishing rights are controlled by clubs or individual land owners).

Is it worth fishing for bass in March?

Are there some areas you could recommend trying? I think we will be staying around South west Florida.

Merry Christmas to you all

Brit

With a license you can fish Any water that is not posted as private. March is a great time and the bigger bass should still be spawning.
There is a South West section and you can ask in the general section there. Some guys in this area may be able to help.

    Where are you staying ?
