Jupiter Inlet - Weds - 10/29

Through a random set of text messages Mike (Angler Management) and I ended up fishing today with his dad our our boat...

Headed out at about 8:15 after a fuel stop... Seas were about 2 ft on the way out, about 1 ft on the way in. Drift was very light, even at 220ft

Fished 65ft ENE of Juno Pier, nothing but small Yellowtails and Grunts, Lanes...

Moved out to a spot that is about 50/50 between Juno Pier and Jupiter Inlet, 95-105ft, managed a good size Yellowtail and an average Queen Trigger, but still kind of slow

Went to Sea Mist to jig up some AJ's for exercise, hooked up several, but most pulled off.

After that enjoyment (I don't think so) we went into a reliable spot about 2.45nm ENE of Jupiter Inlet, 65-68'ish, anchored up, and managed a few more Snapper, a decent Mutton (long leader, butterflied small grunt), and a few African Pompano (AP's were juveniles, but still fun and beautiful). Current was so light @ this spot that you could almost hold bottom with 5oz anchored up...

Mike caught the smallest YT either of us have seen, NO IDEA how this guy got a 5/0 hook in his mouth, but he did...

Here's a few pics of Mike and his dad with the juvie African Pomps...
