Good Mahi day 30 Sep and 3 Oct plus a mango day

Just returned from my summer in CO. The fishing has been excellent except for my nemesis the mighty Sword. Day trip and a night trip zero Swords.

Quick trip into the bay produced a 3 man limit in just about 1 1/2 hours, nice sized Mangroves, legal Yellowtails and a nice Trout.

The 30th was a great day, drove right to the weed line and started catching, as time went on the fish started turning into gaffers. caught 25 and kept those in the pic, left them biting. Then got a very nice skipjack and a couple of small Blackfins.
Fished east out of Marathon and then the easterly humps.

3 Oct, ran to the Marathon Hump early, the sharks are horrendous. Hooked many fish but all nice big Blackfins but could only get 2 to the boat. Lost considerable tackle to the sharks whether trolling or jigging.
Headed easterly then north, lot's of weedlines but not much bait. At 250 feet hit the motherload. Weeds were too fragmented to troll so we chunked away. Kept 12 medium lifters and headed in, left a bunch for the next boats.
